The Patrol Shield The first Patrol Shield (left) was presented to the Group by Canon Terry in 1917. Each member of the winning Patrol that year also received a silver badge to wear. This Shield was awarded more or less annually from 1917 until 1964, when there was no more room for additional plaques. In 1965, Eric Gray presented a replacement shield (right) which was awarded from that year until 1975, when again they ran out of space. A further replacement was never presented and the results of the Patrol competition in the closing years of the Troop are unrecorded.
Note that the list below is more comprehensive and factually correct than that published in In the Spirit of B-P. The shields had been misplaced and only appeared after publication of the book.
